Sustainability & Purpose

Our Approach

At BIANCA XENIA, fashion is guided by responsibility for the ocean.
Together with marine organizations, we help recover discarded fishing nets from the sea — giving one of the ocean’s greatest threats a second life through design.

An estimated 640,000 tons of fishing nets are lost or abandoned in the oceans every year. These so-called ghost nets continue to trap marine life and damage ecosystems for decades.

We choose a slower, more conscious path. One that values intention, quality and real impact.
Recovered nets are transformed into regenerated yarn for our swimwear or carefully hand-applied as raw net details in our designs.

From ocean waste to timeless design — with meaning.

Made in Portugal

Our garments and swimwear are made in Portugal in small, socially responsible factories.

We work closely with trusted partners who value craftsmanship, fair working conditions and mindful production.

By producing locally within Europe, we ensure transparency, quality and durability — creating pieces that are made to last, for you and for the ocean.

Shipping & Packaging

Our goal is to ship every BIANCA XENIA piece with the greatest care—for you and for the planet.

We are not yet 100% plastic-free — and we are transparent about it. For us, sustainability is not a fixed state, but a continuous journey of improvement.

Our goal is clear: to move step by step toward fully plastic-free packaging. We work every day to do better.
